To minimise the impact of the Covid crisis on business, the Haryana Government has come up with ‘virtual mentorship workshop series’ in collaboration with Startup India.

An official spokesperson said the Department of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication in collaboration with Startup India had launched the series for early stage startups, with an aim to offer a safe mentoring platform for mentors and startups to engage with each other from their respective locations during the hour of crisis.

The spokesperson said the series was an effort aimed at broadening the perspectives of the startups and help them in building their confidence especially in the wake of the global crisis. He said it was a three-month program that provided early stage startups with the opportunity to interact with industry experts, learn from their knowledge and expertise to develop strategies to get started/ accelerate their businesses.

He said the programme consists of a combination of group sessions and one-to-one sessions. The group sessions provide startups the opportunity to learn from the mentor’s knowledge and experience and interact with other startups.

The programme covers sessions on topics such as business modeling, products/ service need analysis, taxation, legal and funding basics, digital marketing, business continuity, etc which are useful for startups in their early stages, he said.

He said subsequent sessions for June and July had also been scheduled which would cover relevant topics like digital marketing essentials, funding tips, pitch deck preparation, investor relationship management and taxation/legal strategies.
