Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar today released the book ‘Janta Ki Kahani - Meri Aatamkatha’ written by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatraya, which is his autobiography.

During the function organised at Maharashtra Sadan in Delhi, Dhankhar honoured Governor and his wife Vasantha Bandaru by presenting them with shawls.

During the programme, a two-minute silence was observed to pay tribute to the citizens who lost their lives in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, J&K.

Dhankhar said this book gives a glimpse of the struggles of public life. He said India has devised ways to turn challenges into opportunities that is why today India has emerged as the fourth-largest economy of the world. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown the strength of India to the whole world after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Our Army has increased the pride and dignity of Indians. 'Bharatiyata' is our identity and nationalism is paramount for us,” he added.
