Gurugram Special Task Force (STF) has nabbed most-wanted gangster Sube Gujjar. The Gurugram police had been attaching his properties for a year now to force him to surrender, but it was the STF that finally nabbed him.
Carrying a bounty of Rs 7.5 lakh on his arrest, Gujjar was reportedly caught from the airport when he was trying to flee though rumour mills are abuzz with reports of him surrendering fearing an encounter by the Gurugram police. The STF has taken Gujjar on seven-day police remand after producing him in a city court today.
Gujjar, a resident of Bar Gujjar village where his wife was sarpanch of the village, was wanted by the police of Haryana and other neighbouring states.
He had entered the world of crime in 2004 and used to commit crimes like extortion, contract killing in association with Kaushal gang.
