The DC emphasised the need for strict adherence to pollution-control measures and directed officials from the Pollution Control Board, Urban Local Bodies and other departments to take decisive steps. “All departments must coordinate closely at the ground level to keep the Air Quality Index within permissible limits,” he said.
The DC also instructed officials to focus on dust control along major roads and in industrial areas. Departments concerned have been asked to ensure regular sprinkling of water on roadside trees and plants to reduce dust particles, while anti-smog guns are to be deployed in high-dust zones.
Reiterating that burning of garbage or any type of waste remains strictly prohibited, the DC directed officials concerned to take immediate action against violations. He further instructed regular monitoring and reporting of all pollution-control activities to enable timely administrative decisions.
Patil added that government efforts can only succeed with active public participation.
Meanwhile,Bahadurgarh SDM Naseeb Kumar said that anti-pollution measures were being strictly enforced. The HSVP and Municipal Council, Bahadurgarh, have identified dust hotspots along roads and national highways, where regular cleaning and water sprinkling are underway.
He added that the Pollution Control Board and other departments have been directed to conduct regular inspections of construction sites and industrial units. The SDM also appealed to citizens to follow the administration’s guidelines to help improve environmental quality through collective effort.
