Resolution of any hindrance in projects related to water supply, drainage, sewerage and road infrastructure must be expedited at the earliest, he added.

The HSVP Administrator said all cases pertaining to land acquisition/missing links, which had been directed by the GMDA to the HSVP, were being considered on priority in order to expedite projects being undertaken by the authority to boost infrastructure development pertaining to roads, water supply, drainage and sewerage.

It was added that possession of land pockets along the sector 71-73, 88-89 and 62-65 master dividing roads had been handed over to the GMDA by the HSVP after resolution of the matters in court.

Regarding the illegal discharge of sewage of Sector 42 into Creek 1, it was informed by the Gurugram MC Commissioner that the work of laying an internal sewer line had been completed, and the MC would soon complete its connection with the master sewer line of the GMDA. The corporation had floated the tender for laying the sewerage of Kadarpur, Behrampur and Ullahawas villages to curb the discharge of sewage on to the master roads of the GMDA.

The Manesar MC Commissioner said the work of laying a 200-m sewer line up to the existing sewer line laid by the HSVP on the sector 86-89 dividing road was nearing completion and would be connected with the drain laid by the HSIIDC to resolve the issue of sewer overflow from villages in the vicinity.

The GMDA CEO asked the Gurugram MC Commissioner to ensure that all boosting stations under the MC were commissioned and made operational, along with disconnection of direct and illegal connections made on the GMDA or MC master water supply pipelines, to ensure equitable, controlled and regulated supply of potable water in the city.

He said joint visits must be conducted by the officials concerned of both departments to gauge the efficiency of the boosting stations and UGTs.

The GMDA CEO asked the Gurugram MC to strengthen its sanitation operations to keep underpasses and city roads free of debris, especially during the monsoon, to prevent clogging of the drainage infrastructure of the city.
