Webinar on pharmacovigilance

Hisar: The Industry Interaction Club, under the aegis of the Training and Placement Cell and in collaboration with the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, organised a webinar on ‘Role of Pharmacovigilance in Healthcare’. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof Narsi Ram Bishnoi, was the chief guest. Gaurav Sain, a drug safety associate, was the keynote speaker, who provided insights into the field.

Discussion on Interim Budget

Yamunanagar: The Economics Department of Maharaja Agrasen College organised a discussion on the Interim Budget 2024-25. The officiating principal, Dr Karuna, said such discussions are important for personality development and knowledge augmentation of students. Prof Punam Garg presented the budget analysis. She said reduction in fiscal deficit has been possible by robust tax collection and reduction in subsidy bill of the economy. The increase in capital expenditure will be helpful in raising the rate of economic growth and employment generation, Prof Garg added.

two-day Int’l conference from Feb 7

Rohtak: The University Institute of Engineering and Technology at Maharshi Dayanand University will organise the 2nd International Conference on Science and Technology for Sustainable Future (ICSTSF-2024) in collaboration with the Indian Science Congress Association, Rohtak chapter, on February 7 and 8. Prof Yudhveer Singh, director, University Institute of Engineering and Technology said former ISCA president Dr Vijay Lakshmi Saxena would be the chief guest, while the Prof Rajbir Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Maharshi Dayanand University will preside over the inaugural session.
