Follow pandemic SOPs this festive season
The festive season is here and the pandemic far from over. The government should ensure that every one follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs). The Health Department should also launch a drive to check adulteration of sweets and other food items. The MC should also start a sanitation drill to keep the city clean. Above all citizens should cooperate with the authorities.

Replace conventional streetlights with LEDs
The UHBVNL should ponder about replacing 25,000 conventional street tube lights with LED ones throughout the city under the Smart City Project of the Central Government, which will have a number of features, including saving of energy, automatic functioning of streetlights and centralised system.
The amount thus saved on electricity bills can be used for various development works of the city.
