Sewage leak at Ambala City Aggarwal Bhawan

The Aggarwal Bhawan is one of the best and graceful buildings in Sector 9, Ambala City. Every day social, political and even government meetings are organised here. The organisation has provided some rooms for free classes. Above all, this place catered to the needs of people during the pandemic. Despite its all-round utility, the sewerage has been leaking and stinking badly for many months. No one has come to set the things right. This gives a dismal look. The people living in close proximity to the building are a harried lot. I hope department concerned will take cognizance of the issue and set the things right without delay. Gian P Kansal, Ambala

Violations in Residential buildings rampant, no action taken

Norms and rules are being openly flouted in the construction of residential and commercial buildings developed by builders and private persons in the city here, with no action on the part of the authorities concerned. While stilt parking is required or mandatory for the residential building having four floors in any plot, some of the builders have converted the parking space into offices or rooms for rental or lease purpose, thus leaving no parking space for the floor owner. In such conditions the majority of the vehicles are parked outside either on the green belt on the road. Ajay Bahl, Faridabad
