There is a major parking problem in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri. A number of people park their vehicles haphazardly on congested roads, causing traffic jams and inconvenience to commuters. The Municipal Corporation authorities should find a solution to this problem to make commuting easier.

Wrong parking creates frequent traffic snarls
Wrongly parked vehicles near Gandhi Ground along the Ambala-Saha road (a stretch of NH 444-A) in Ambala Cantonment have made commuting difficult, especially during the late hours. People leave their vehicles unattended on the road which leads to frequent traffic jams. The traffic police should issue challans to people who park their vehicles on the road. Besides, vehicles parked on the road must be towed away to the nearest police station. The police should launch drives to make people aware about traffic rules and road safety.

Dairies make life miserable
Over 350 medium and large dairies operating in various residential areas here have made the life of the people living nearby miserable. The Municipal Corporation has failed to shift these unauthorised dairies from the residential areas. Dairy owners flush cow dung into sewerage which leads to the choking of sewer lines. Foul smell comes out from dairies and drains. The authorities concerned should launch a specific drive to end this menace. Sourabh Khurana, Panipat
