What our readers say: Level crossing a concern in Kaithal
A number of level crossings in Kaithal town on the Narwana-Jind railway track passing through Kaithal have become a big nuisance for residents and road users. Keeping in view the public demand, former Chief Minister and now Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had announced the construction of elevated railway track in Kaithal to resolve the problem. However, recently as per a latest survey, the Railways authorities have found construction of elevated track non-feasible. Residents demand that the government should construct elevated railway track in Kaithal like Rohtak and Kurukshetra.

Cleanliness begins at home, not abroad
We admire foreign countries for their cleanliness but hesitate to pay a few rupees to the garbage collector. Instead, we proudly turn vacant plots into mini landfills, breeding diseases, spreading stench and turning Karnal into a dumpyard. Ironically, we dream of Switzerland while standing deep in our own filth. Isn't it time we stopped treating our city like an open dustbin?

Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
