THE Ambala Sadar Municipal Council often claims to be improving sanitation conditions by running campaigns. However, the authorities have failed to address the issue of littering in drains of the city. A lot of garbage can be spotted in the open drain near Vijay Rattan Chowk, but the municipal council seems to pay no attention it. The MC should install nets in the city’s drains to prevent these from being choked by garbage. Ravi Kumar, Ambala

Haphazard parking irks commuters in Ambala

VEHICLES parked haphazardly in the middle of busy markets continue to be a cause of inconvenience to commuters. Some people leave their vehicles unattended on the road, leaving very little space for other vehicles to cross, thereby causing traffic jams. The traffic police should take note of the matter and issue challans to those parking vehicles recklessly.
