I wish to draw the attention of the authorities concerned and the public towards the issues at the newly established sabzi mandi in Karnal. The Haryana Government has made a commendable effort by relocating the vegetable market from the congested heart of the city to a more spacious location. This move was expected to provide a better shopping experience for buyers and ease traffic woes in the city. Unfortunately, due to the poor management and lack of enforcement by the administration, the new market is plagued by the same issues that marred the old one. Encroachments by shopkeepers and unauthorised vendors have significantly reduced the space available for buyers, leading to chaos and discomfort. Buyers have to navigate through narrow, overcrowded pathways, defeating the purpose of having a more spacious market. The situation demands immediate attention.

Inconvenience to commuters

Wrongly parked vehicles in the busy sadar markets of Ambala Cantonment continue to be a cause for inconvenience to commuters. The shopkeepers and their customers park their vehicles outside shops, not leaving much space for other vehicles to pass through. The administration should take action.

Impose fine on people urinating in the open

People can be spotted urinating outside the bus stand and other places in the open due to the lack of public toilets as well as civic sense. There is a need to sensitise the public, besides imposing heavy fine on such people to improve the situation.
