THE trench work for storm water drain pipelines laid by the Municipal Corporation in Sector 20, Panchkula, has yet not been completed, resulting in an accident-prone site. The authorities are requested to complete the work as soon as possible.

Remove encroachments

AT many spots, mainly on the busy railway road, several encroachers have put up permanent fixtures and squeezed the already congested roads. Parking or even crossing of two vehicles has become too risky on these roads. Some shopkeepers display flex boards and their wares up to the middle of road and park their two-wheelers as well. The pedestrians find it difficult to move as all footpaths and verandahs have been usurped by them permanently. The municipal council staff should remove such encroachers immediately.
