CHHATRAWAS Road, one of the busiest roads of Kaithal, is in poor shape. The local municipal council has failed to carry out repairs of this road, much to the dismay of commuters. Drivers, and shopkeepers, have raised this issue with the authorities concerned many a times, but to no avail. This road leads to many prominent markets and the railway station, and thousands of commuters from Kaithal and nearby villages use this road on the daily. The residents demand that the administration get the road repaired at the earliest for the convenience of commuters. Those at the helm of affairs seem to be busy in constructing welcome gates in various parts of the town, while the issues of poor roads and sanitation is placed on the back burner.

Ban modified e-rickshaws

TO accommodate more schoolchildren, e-rickshaw drivers modify their vehicles by adding extra seats at the back and alongside the driver in the front. Instead of carrying the authorised capacity of five or six passengers, they transport around 10 children, which poses a significant risk to their safety. In the event of an accident, the potential danger to the children is unimaginable. The school authorities should not allow such modified e-rickshaws to ferry children to school. Air-conditioning at judicial complex inadequate

it has become very difficult for judges and lawyers to carry out judicial proceedings at the judicial complex due to the extreme heat and humidity in the courtrooms. Air conditioners were installed in some rooms, although they are not sufficient in number. Some of these ACs are not working properly. It is necessary that the judicial complex be fully air-conditioned.

Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
