What our readers say: Rain inundates Jhajjar, wake-up call for civic body
A spell of rain that lashed Jhajjar city last evening brought some respite to the residents from the scorching heat, but it left the main roads and low-lying areas inundated. The rain also exposed the tall claims of the authorities concerned on having made preparations for managing rainwater. The water entered houses and shops, damaging goods inside. We hope the authorities have learnt their lesson and will equip themselves well for the coming days. Om Prakash, Jhajjar
Long queues at PGI-Rohtak OPD a pain for patients
LONG queues to get registration cards made and also for the collection of blood samples and other tests at the OPD of PGIMS-Rohtak continue to haunt patients and their attendants. Though the PGIMS administration has initiated some steps to reduce the waiting period, these are proving inadequate. The authorities concerned must look into the matter and come up with effective solutions. Deepak Kumar, Rohtak
