New roads deteriorating
A newly constructed road in Sector 10, F Block, DLF, is deteriorating just a week after completion. The absence of iron reinforcement and the use of a thin slab have created dangerous conditions. Additionally, old road material left on the sides has exacerbated the situation, making it more hazardous than before. Immediate action is needed to prevent accidents. —Naresh Gupta, Faridabad
Stray dogs posing threat
RECENTLY, I went to a local Hanuman temple. But, I was both scared and terrified to see dozens of stray dogs at the entrance, where they were chasing every person in search of 'prashad', which the devotees offer in plenty. Too scared, I requested a sevak of the temple to safely escort me inside the temple and later, to my car. A lot of stray cows were also roaming outside the temple. The stray animals are posing a significant threat to the safety of devotees and the temple administration must address the issue at the earliest. —Ramesh Gupta, Narwana
5-day week in courts
iN the district and subordinate courts of Punjab and Haryana states, besides the gazetted holidays, the second and fourth Saturdays of every month are also observed as holidays. But for quite some time, lawyers of both states have been demanding a five-day work week in the district and subordinate courts like the Supreme Court and High Court. There should be serious deliberation in this regard and a uniform five-day working week should be implemented in the district and subordinate courts as well. —Advocate Shakti Singh, Karnal
