The accompanying photograph of a road is close to an upcoming market complex in part 2 of Sector 21 in Panchkula, which is without streetlights. The road is connected with HUDAs trans-Ghaghar Sectors 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and also Ramgarh. But sadly yet strangely, neither HUDA nor the MC, Panchkula, seems to be bothered about the safety of commuters at night. The authorities concerned should take note of it and install streetlights in the area. —SK Gupta, Panchkula

Hisar residents demand daily train to Prayagraj

Hisar residents met MLA Savitri Jindal and demanded a daily train service for going to Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. They said many devotees from Hisar town wanted to go to the Mahakumbh fair, but are unable to do so due to lack of proper means. If a daily train was started from Hisar, all the devotees would be able to go there. The people of all districts adjoining Hisar would also benefit. —Harikishan Sharma, Hisar
