The rear street of the New Grain Market here remains flooded with sewage, making life difficult for residents on both sides of the street. The residents have brought up the issue with the Nagar Parishad, but all in vain. The local MLA, who is a minister, too, should instruct officials to make this street concrete by raising its level on priority.

Remove tin shed at Ambala Cantt bus stand

THE tin shed at the entrance to the Ambala Cantonment bus stand, established many years ago for collecting ‘adda’ fees from buses entering from other states, is now a cause for concern. In its current unused and dilapidated state, the shed has turned into a spot for inappropriate activities. Commuters and auto-rickshaw drivers frequently misuse the space by urinating openly, which leaves a foul smell and an unpleasant environment. However, the authorities have not taken adequate steps to address it. I hope the administration will look into the issue seriously. Gian P Kansal, Ambala
