The matter of cutting of a tree and pruning the branches of two other trees at a park in Panipat’s Sector 11 has reached the National Green Tribunal. On the directions of the NGT, the district administration has though registered an FIR against an unidentified person, it has failed in identifying the person who cut down the healthy tree at a park in Sector 11 of the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP). Now, the NGT has pulled up the district administration over the issue. After the file of the matter kept shuffling from one office to another for the last one year, the NGT has now fixed the hearing in the case on October 8.
