Wildlife Inspector Rakesh Kumar said that information regarding the presence of a leopard was received, following which a search operation was launched. However, no pugmarks have been spotted in the area where the big cat was shown in the video. The animal hasn’t been spotted in any other area and no other movement has also been traced so far.

The matter has been brought to the attention of the higher authorities. The big cat could also be a fishing cat. The residents have been asked to stay vigilant and a close watch is being kept by the department, he said.
