Power Minister and former MLA of Rania Ranjit Singh Chautala is again lobbying for the BJP ticket from the segment. On Tuesday, he made it clear that he was determined to contest, preferably under the BJP banner, but if it didn’t fructify, he would still run as an Independent candidate.

Chautala had reiterated his stance yesterday. Asked if he would join the Congress or align with Bhupinder Singh Hooda, a former CM, Chautala hinted that politics was ever-changing and did not rule out any possibilities.

He, however, clarified that he was not considering leaving the BJP, which had supported him in the past. At the same time, he expressed displeasure with party leaders visiting Gopal Kanda’s residence and suggesting a potential alliance with Haryana Lokhit Party.
