Will submit reply to show-cause notice to party high command: Vij
Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij today said he will submit his reply to the BJP high command regarding the show-cause notice issued against him.
The party issued the notice on Monday, citing Vij’s public remarks against Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and state BJP chief Mohan Lal Badoli as a breach of party discipline.
Responding to media queries about the notice, Vij said, “I came to know about it through the media, but I will not give my reply through the media. I will reply to the party. I was in Bengaluru for the past three days. I will go home first, take a cold shower, have food and then write my reply and send it to the party high command.”
When asked whether the Chief Minister had consented to the notice, Vij replied, “I don’t know by whose consent it was done.”
The notice, issued by Mohan Lal Badoli on the directions of the BJP’s national president, requires Vij to respond within three days. It also criticised the timing of his statements, calling them “unacceptable” during the Delhi Assembly elections and accusing him of attempting to harm the party.
Vij, known for his outspoken nature, had earlier criticised CM Saini, saying, “Ever since Nayab Saini assumed office, he has been flying around on his ‘udan khatola’ (chopper) and is unaware of ground realities.”
He had also called for state BJP chief Badoli’s resignation on “moral grounds” after the latter was named in a rape case in Kasauli.
