Hisar, December 31
The bullet-riddled body of a wine contractor was found in a car in the Uklana area in Haryana’s Hisar district, the police said on Friday.
Passers-by saw the body in the car and informed the police, they said.
After keeping the body in the car, the killers handed over the keys of the vehicle to the salesman of the deceased wine contractor, the police said.
The incident took place late on Thursday evening near a bank branch on Parbhuwala Road in Uklana, where the deceased had a liquor shop, the police said.
Ramphal alias Bachchi, 45, was a resident of Faridpur village in Hisar and was in the wine trade for about 20 years, the police said.
Some enmity is suspected behind Ramphal’s murder, a police official said.
On the complaint of Krishan Kumar, brother of the deceased, a case has been registered at Uklana police station, the police said. —PTI
