Four persons, including a woman, have been booked in connection with the murder of a middle-aged man in a village here. One of the suspects has been arrested in this regard.
The incident took place around six days ago when the victim, identified as Tayab, a resident of a locality near Dhauj village in the district, was reportedly beaten to death. His body was buried at a secluded spot in the Aravalli hills.
Ravi and his accomplices called Tayab for a party near the Pakhal toll plaza on December 15 where he was offered liquor. He was allegedly beaten to death after he got heavily drunk.
It is claimed that the murder was part of a conspiracy hatched by the victim’s wife and Ravi as they were allegedly having an illicit relationship for the past several years. When Tayab objected to the friendship and illicit relation between his wife and Ravi, the suspects hatched a conspiracy to murder him, according to the complaint lodged with the police. The woman was allegedly staying at her parents’ house.
On December 16, the victim’s family members lodged a complaint with the police alleging that he was abducted. During investigation, the police arrested one of the suspects. He took the police to the spot where Tayab’s body was dumped in half-burnt condition. The police have launched a manhunt to nab the main suspect and two others, including the wife of the victim, said a police official.
