A woman has allegedly been defrauded of Rs 1.34 lakh under the pretext of securing a job in the Municipal Corporation, Manesar (MCM). An FIR has been lodged at Farrukhnagar police station following the complaint.

The victim, identified as Kirti, a resident of Tirpadi village in the Farrukhnagar area, reported that she came across an advertisement on Instagram promising a job in the Municipal Corporation, Manesar. Upon contacting the number provided in the advertisement, she was assured of a government job, either in the corporation or elsewhere.

The accused then convinced the woman to transfer a total of Rs 1.34 lakh in three instalments on January 5 and 6. After the payments were made, the accused ceased all communication and stopped answering her calls. Frustrated, the woman approached the police.

In response to her complaint, an FIR was filed at Farrukhnagar police station. A senior police officer stated that an investigation is underway and efforts are being made to arrest the accused soon.
