A woman working in a private company committed suicide in a local PG on Tuesday. The father of the woman blamed her lover and police registered an FIR against the lover at DLF Phase-3 police station.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Neha (21), native of Sitamarhi in Bihar, who was working as a senior executive with a city based private company. She was staying in a PG, located in DLF Phase-3.
Neha committed suicide in her PG and her body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her PG room.
The PG operator informed the police and a police team reached the spot and took the body in custody.
Police sources said she had lost her job in the lockdown and fled with her lover Amit. No suicide note was found from her room while her father Rakesh Jha in his complaint blamed Amit for his daughter’s death.
Following the complaint of Rakesh Jha, father of the deceased woman, an FIR has been registered against Amit under Section 306 (abatement to suicide) of the IPC at DLF Phase-3 police station.
“We are investigating from all the angles into the matter. We are trying to contact Amit for questioning. He will be nabbed soon,” said sub inspector Ram Niwas, the investigating officer.
