Woman hacked to death by husband in Jhajjar village

Jhajjar: A 30-year-old woman, Manisha, was hacked to death allegedly by her husband at their house in Talav village late on Sunday night. The accused, Devender, fled the spot after committing the crime, but the police arrested him later. He has been sent to one-day police remand. Some domestic feud was stated to be the reason behind the killing. The police have started probe after registering a murder case. TNS

Murder accused carrying Rs50,000 reward nabbed

Panipat: The police have arrested an accused, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, from Rajasthan. Sanjeet, alias Sunny, of Sunaria Kalan in Rohtak was wanted in over half a dozen cases, including murder and loot. He was the prime accused in the killing of a teacher on June 14 at Alipura village in Jind district. After the registration of a case against him, the accused was taken on remand by producing him in court. TNS

2 gangs of vehicle robbers busted; five arrested

Gurugram: The police have busted two gangs of vehicle lifters. Five persons were arrested and 19 stolen vehicles seized from their possession. All members of the two gangs used to ply autos during daytime and steal vehicles at night and then sold these in Uttar Pradesh. The police are now questioning the accused and suspects involved in more cases. The accused were identified as Mohit (37), a resident of Khandsa village, and Sachin and Gaurav, natives of Aligarh in UP. OC
