Murder accused carrying Rs50,000 reward nabbed
Panipat: The police have arrested an accused, carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, from Rajasthan. Sanjeet, alias Sunny, of Sunaria Kalan in Rohtak was wanted in over half a dozen cases, including murder and loot. He was the prime accused in the killing of a teacher on June 14 at Alipura village in Jind district. After the registration of a case against him, the accused was taken on remand by producing him in court. TNS
2 gangs of vehicle robbers busted; five arrested
Gurugram: The police have busted two gangs of vehicle lifters. Five persons were arrested and 19 stolen vehicles seized from their possession. All members of the two gangs used to ply autos during daytime and steal vehicles at night and then sold these in Uttar Pradesh. The police are now questioning the accused and suspects involved in more cases. The accused were identified as Mohit (37), a resident of Khandsa village, and Sachin and Gaurav, natives of Aligarh in UP. OC
