A woman was allegedly thrashed by a man driving a Scorpio car after she honked at him seeking a pass on the road in Sector 83.

According to the complaint filed by the woman, the incident happened on Thursday night at around 9:15 pm.

“I was on my way home from the market when I honked at the car parked in the middle of the road. The man was standing outside his car and made obscene gestures at me. When I objected, he punched my nose and I started bleeding. The man fled away when a crowd gathered,” the woman told the police.

An FIR has been registered against an unidentified man under Sections 323, 354-A, 506 and 509 of the IPC at Sadar police station.
