Woman killed, husband injured as roof collapses

A woman was killed while her husband was seriously injured after the roof of the room they were sleeping in collapsed at Rawa village on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Soma Devi (55) while her husband was identified as Miya Ram, residents of Rawa village of Shahabad in Kurukshetra.

As per the information, the incident happened around 6 in the morning when, all of a sudden, the girder of the room fell and the roof collapsed.

Soon after, the neighbours launched a rescue operation, and after removing the debris, both victims were taken to the Community Health Centre Shahabad where Soma Devi was declared dead, while her husband was undergoing treatment.
