Woman who named Badoli in rape case booked for extortion

The police have booked six persons, including a woman who had previously accused state BJP president Mohan Lal Badoli and singer Jai Bhagwan, alias Rocky Mittal, of rape, in connection with an alleged honey trapping and extortion case. The police said two of the accused had been arrested and sent to two-day police custody. Mittal alleged the accused threatened to implicate them in a false case unless they paid Rs 50 lakh.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
