Hisar: Woman who threw acid on youth held

The police today arrested the woman who had thrown acid on a youth after their differences over marriage in Hisar town.
The police produced the accused in court, which sent her to judicial custody.
Sources said Manisha, 23, had thrown acid on the youth near Jaat college in Hisar on Friday. She was upset with Subham, 22, who was a relative of the accused, as he was set to go to Canada. While the girl wanted him to marry him, the youth said he would get married to her after returning from Canada.
The youth was admitted to a hospital with burn injuries on his face, chest and hands. Both are residents of Surya Nagar locality in Hisar town.

The police had booked the woman under Section 326-A (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by use of acid) of the IPC.
