Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board’s Vice-Chairman Dhuman Singh Kirmach on Monday laid the foundation stone for the ‘Aarti Sthala’ being developed at Saraswati Tirtha in Pehowa.
On this occasion, Dhuman Singh said an aarti site is being constructed on the banks of Saraswati in Pehowa, and it will be ready before International Saraswati Festival, 2026.
Aarti will be performed daily at the site, which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 10 lakh. Pehowa is considered a place of great religious importance and lakhs of people reach Pehowa every year from different parts of the country to perform post-death rituals for their family members and also offer prayers to their ancestors. Efforts are being made to provide all the facilities to the devotees and visitors.
Pehowa Municipal Committee Chairperson Ashish Chakrapani said the project was discussed long ago and now the work has started. On the lines of the Aarti Sthala developed at Brahma Sarovar, an Aarti Sthal is being developed in Pehowa.
