“It was on Tuesday when my brother was asked to enter the sewage tank for cleaning without any safety equipment. He was suffocated to death inside the tank. It was negligence on the part of the company because had there been any safety equipment, my brother would not have died”, Mokim said in his complaint. Following the complaint, the police lodged an FIR of negligence against the contractor company and handed over the body to the kin after the postmortem. The police said they were verifying facts and action would be taken accordingly.
