A workshop on online GST filing was organised at Indira Gandhi National College by the Career Guidance Cell in association with the Department of Commerce on Saturday.
The workshop was conducted in collaboration with Naveen Jindal Foundation – Edujobs Academy. Trainer Nasim Khan gave a step-by-step demonstration on filing GST (Goods and Services Tax) returns online. He explained the practical aspects of GST and cleared the queries of students.
Principal Kushal Pal said, “In the era of digital economy, knowledge of GST and its online filing is not just important for commerce students, but also for every individual, who aspires to become financially aware and independent. Workshops like these make students industry-ready, enhance their employability skills and bridge the gap between classroom learning and practical application. I encourage all students to participate actively in such programmes to stay updated with the latest
business practices.”
The workshop ended with an interactive session. Forty-six students and seven faculty members attended the workshop.
A poster-making competition was also organised this afternoon under the joint auspices of the Departments of Mathematics and Physics.
The college principal appreciated the initiative taken by heads of both departments and stated that such competitions provide students with valuable opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of their subjects.
