Hisar: A three-day Campus Recruitment Training (CRT)-cum soft skill development workshop was organised for students graduating in 2024 by the Udbhavana club of training and placement cell of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar. The workshop was held in collaboration with Rubicon Skill Development Private Limited. The closing ceremony of the event took place in the Chaudhary Ranbir Singh auditorium. University registrar Prof Vinod Chhokar was the chief guest on the occasion and dean of Haryana School of Business, Prof Karmapal Narwal, was the special guest. As many as 230 students of final year courses attended the workshop.

College holds health camp

Kurukshetra: A free medical check-up camp was organised at Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa (Dhanora) under the aegis of the women development cell and the department of physical education of the college, in collaboration with Bharat Group of Institutions on Monday. College principal Kushal Pal told students that such camps were helpful in raising awareness about diseases and, with their early detection, they could be treated easily. He added that such camps also help in collecting data which can be used while formulating health policies. A team of doctors examined the weight, height, oxygen level, blood pressure, blood group, haemoglobin, etc., of the students. As many as 150 students and staff members were examined at the camp.

500 pupils perform Surya Namaskar

Karnal: Under the ‘Har Ghar Surya Namaskar’ campaign, the main branch of Dyal Singh Public School, Karnal, has made it a part of daily activities. As many as 500 students of classes III to VIII perform all steps of Surya Namaskar daily. Principal Sushma Devgan said yoga has been known for time immemorial to keep the body and mind healthy. Everyone must take out 10 minutes from their daily routine for yoga, the principal added. The principal said yoga relaxes the mind and helps reduce stress. It also provides relief from insomnia, he added.
