Yamunanagar district police carry out combing operation

A search and combing operation was carried out by the police in Yamunanagar district on Thursday. Additional Superintendent of Police, Amarinder Singh, SHOs of all police stations and other police officials of the district were present during the operation. A flag march was also conducted in the Hamida and Azad Nagar areas of Yamunanagar.

Chamkaur Singh, a police spokesperson said on the directions of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal, the combing operation was conducted in view of Independence Day celebrations to be held in the district on August 15.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Amarinder Singh said a search and combing operation was conducted in Old Hamida Colony, Azad Nagar Colony, in areas falling under police stations of Buria, Pratap Nagar, Chhachhrauli, City Yamunanagar and other police stations of the district. “Through the search and combing operation, the district police tried to crack down on mischievous elements, anti-social elements and criminals,” said Additional SP. He appealed to the people that if they felt that something wrong was happening in their area, they should inform the police about it and the police would take immediate action on it.

“The teams of the district police are working under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Kamaldeep Goyal. Such combing operations will continue in future as well so that law and order is maintained in the district,” said Additional SP. He said the combing operation was carried out to ensure a sense of security among the public.

“The police are working to ensure law and order in the district. It has a special eye on crime-prone areas. If any anti-social incident occurs in the district or any suspicious person is seen, people should inform the police and the name of the informer will be kept a secret,” said Additional SP.
