Yamunanagar industrialists raise concerns with civic body chief, district town planner
A delegation of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri industrialists have held two separate meetings with Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha and District Town Planner Rajesh Kumar.
They were led by Haryana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) president Rajesh Sondhi and state general secretary Raj Chawla.
The delegation discussed their problems and suggestions with the officers of both departments.
Sondhi said, in the meeting with the DTP, detailed discussions were held on crucial topics such as industrial development under Master Plan-2041, sector planning of industrial areas, regularisation of industries, strengthening of basic infrastructure and enhancing business ease.
During the meeting, HCCI representatives emphasised the need for regularising industries that had been operating in the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri region for years.
They said these industries now fell under the jurisdiction of the Municipal Corporation and Town and Country Planning Department, but, due to lack of policy clarity, they were facing multiple administrative challenges.
Sondhi said the DTP took this matter seriously and assured that the process of regularisation under Master Plan-2041 would be expedited to ensure smooth industrial development.
The HCCI also stressed the importance of systematic sector planning for industrial areas and urged the administration to complete the process swiftly.
Chawla noted that the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri industrial sector was renowned nationwide for plywood, metal and other industries.
Sondhi and Chawla said Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha also listened carefully to all their concerns, assuring them that immediate and necessary steps would be taken to resolve these issues.
