With the arrest of two persons, the police have cracked four murder cases in Yamunanagar district.
The accused have been identified as Yudhvir Singh and Ravi, both residents of Naharpur-Taharpur village.
Sources said a team of the CIA-II of the Yamunanagar police had arrested Yudhvir Singh on suspicion from the Jagadhri bus stand.
During interrogation, he admitted that he had killed a person known to him, Dilbag Singh, of Khanpuri village after he refused to give him Rs 200 on June 15.
After killing Dilbag Singh, he threw his body in sugarcane fields in his village.
Rakesh Kumar, in charge of the CIA-II, said Yudhvir Singh was produced before a court in Jagadhri on Saturday and procured his three day-police remand.
During police remand, he confessed to killing three more persons with the intention to loot them.
Rakesh Kumar said the accused had killed a person in 2016, who worked at a poultry farm in Balauli village.
He said he also killed a person in the forest of Chhachhrauli town in 2018 and looted Rs 2400-2500 from him.
He further said that he. with the help of a person of his village, Ravi, alias Bunty, had killed a person in the forest area of Chhachhrauli town in January 2019.
“Yudhvir’s accomplice Ravi has also been arrested,” said Rakesh Kumar, CIA-II, in charge.
