“I inspected a market in Jagadhri and a waste segregation and compost pit at the MRF centre in Sector 17. At the MRF centre, I found mixed waste in a cabin made for collection of waste plastic, iron and clothes. I instructed the sanitation officials to ensure proper segregation of waste,” said Bahamani.
She issued instructions to all sanitation inspectors and supervisors that negligence in sanitation work would not be tolerated. She appealed to the citizens to cooperate with the MCYJ workers in cleanliness works. She also appealed to the shopkeepers not litter around their shops.
“All people should collect garbage only in dustbins. They should put the said garbage in vehicles which arrive to collect door-to-door garbage. If all citizens will put the garbage in the MCYJ vehicles, our city will become clean, beautiful and hygienic. In this way, our twin cities Yamunanagar and Jagadhri will get first rank in the Swachh ranking 2025,” said Bahamani.
