Yamunanagar MC opens new property tax wing office

Work relating to property tax and building branches of seven wards (Ward Nos. 16 to 22) will be conducted at the office of Municipal Corporation (MC), Yamunanagar-Jagadhri, located near Bhai Kanhaiya Sahib Chowk in Yamunanagar.

This decision has been taken by the MC authorities for the speedy disposal of cases. Also, the residents here would not have to travel an extra two kilometres to the main MC office near Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk to get their work done.

Ashok Kumar, Deputy Municipal Commissioner, said the work related to these branches would now be conducted at three places in Yamunanagar and Jagadhri.

“For residents living in Ward Nos. 1 to 7, the work will be done at the MC office situated in Jagadhri. The residents of Ward Nos. 8 to 15 can visit the MC office located near Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk in Yamunanagar. The residents of Ward Nos. 16 to 22 can get the work done at the office near Bhai Kanhaiya Sahib Chowk,” said Kumar. He added that this decision would ensure the smooth functioning of the property tax and building branches of the MC.
