Young couple dies by suicide in Hisar village

A young couple reportedly committed suicide by consuming a poisonous substance in Moth village of the district today. Their bodies were discovered lying in a wheat field in the village.

The deceased have been identified as Pravesh, 25, a resident of Karkhana village in Safidon subdivision of Jind district, and Rina, 21, a resident of Nagura village in Jind district. According to the police, it appears the couple left their homes last night and reached the site where they ended their lives in a suicide pact.

A bag was found near the bodies, containing some documents and a bottle of poisonous substance.

Pradeep Kumar, a resident of Moth village, spotted the bodies while visiting the fields and immediately informed other villagers. The police were called to the scene shortly after.

The police revealed that both Pravesh and Rina were unmarried and had been in a relationship for some time. Pravesh worked as a labourer while Rina was pursuing her MA from a college in Jind. Further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
