Young judge shares experiences
Karnal: Dyal Singh Public School, Karnal, honoured and celebrated the achievement of Swati Sharma, one of the youngest judges in the Indian judiciary. Swati got 11th rank in the Madhya Pradesh Judicial Services in her first attempt. She shared her experience with the students and exhorted them to give their 100 per cent in whatever they do. Ramesh Kumari Singh, academic adviser, and Sushma Devgun, principal, congratulated Swati for her success.
Science Models on display at CRSU
Jind: To promote scientific skills and competitiveness among students, the physics department at Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU) organised a science exhibition on its campus. Students of the departments of physics, geography and chemistry participated in the event. They presented their models highlighting social issues and their possible solutions. Prof RB Solanki, Vice Chancellor; Prof Rajesh Punia, Registrar; Prof SK Sinha, director, T&P, along with other faculty members and other non-teaching staff, also visited the science exhibition.

Two-day int’l conference organised
Karnal: RPIIT Technical and Medical Campus, Bastara, organised a two-day international conference on various themes in several areas, such as engineering, pharmacy, nursing, management, hotel management and other allied fields, at Hotel Noor Mahal. Mohammad Rijhwani, member of the board of directors, Kabul, Afghanistan, spoke on the education system of India and Afghanistan. Prof KK Saini, director general, RPIIT Technical and Medical Campus, said the aim of the conference was to provide common platform to all participates, so that they could share their work and learn from each other.

Rewari: Indira Gandhi University (IGU) organised an induction programme for PhD students. Students recite poems, perform skit
Jhajjar: Prarambh, a state institute of advanced studies in teacher education, organised a cultural programme in memory of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. Pooja, Hemant Gautam and Ambika recited poems and a skit was performed by Manindi and her team on women empowerment. Niti, Shweta and Tushita threw light on the life and ideology of Dayanand Saraswati.
Rahul first in 200m race
Karnal: The 70th annual sports meet of Dyal Singh College, Karnal, was concluded, in which a large number of students participated. On the second day of the function, Sardar Harbhajan Singh, founder and CEO, InfoTech Computers, Karnal, also an alumnus of the college, was the chief guest at the event. Addressing the students, he said hard work was the key to success. “Dyal Singh College has always been striving to empower its students physically, mentally and morally in order to enable them to face the challenges of life in a successful manner,” he said. In 200m race (boys), Rahul secured first position and in the 100m race (girls), Rakhi stood first.
Seminar on drug regulation norms
Kurukshetra: A seminar on theme “Opportunities and challenges in drug discovery and development” was organised by the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kurukshetra University on Sunday. Prof Kailash Chandra Sharma, Vice Chancellor, KU, presided over the function NK Ahuja, State Drugs Controller, Haryana, who was the keynote speaker on the occasion, spoke about various norms regarding drugs regulation in India.
