Youth killed over petty dispute in Ambala

A 19-year-old youth was killed while another youngster suffered injuries after miscreants attacked them in the Ambala Cantonment last night.

The deceased has been identified as Rahul. Vishal suffered injuries. The victims used to work as vegetable vendors. Last night, both were attacked near Babyal village. The injured were rushed to the Ambala Cantonment Civil Hospital, where Rahul was declared brought dead, while Vishal was undergoing treatment.

Sonu, elder brother of Rahul, said, “My brother was attacked with knives by five people. He had no old enmity with anyone. He used to work as a vegetable vendor and was returning from his work when he was attacked.”

After getting information, DSP Ramesh Kumar and SHO Jitender Kumar reached the spot.A case under murder charges has been registered against five miscreants at the Mahesh Nagar police station. Mahesh Nagar SHO Jitender said a verbal spat led to the tragic incident. A case has been registered against five persons and an investigation was underway, he said.
