Addressing a state-level programme organised in Rai to mark the 350th martyrdom year of the revered martyr, Saini said the legacy of Dada Kushal Singh Dahiya should inspire the younger generation as India strives to become a global leader. He noted that Dahiya’s “unparalleled act of self-respect, courage and bravery is etched in golden letters in the pages of history.”

The Chief Minister announced several development projects in honour of the martyr. The road from GT Road to Badkhalsa — from Naggal Kalan to Manoli village — will be renamed Dada Kushal Singh Dahiya Marg. The community centre in Badkhalsa will also bear his name, while the Shahidi Smarak in the village will be renovated. Additional infrastructure projects for the Rai Assembly segment were also unveiled.

Saini expressed gratitude to the large gathering at the event, recalling Dahiya’s sacrifice. “Dada Kushal Singh Dahiya sacrificed his own head to ensure the safe delivery of the sacred head of Guru Tegh Bahadur to Anandpur Sahib,” he said. The objective of commemorating the martyrdom year, he added, was to ensure that the younger generation develops a “deeper sense of devotion toward religion, society and nation.”

He further said the Badkhalsa memorial complex in Rai is being developed as a national-level inspiration centre to preserve and propagate the martyr’s legacy for future generations.

Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda also paid tribute, stating that Dahiya’s sacrifice “is etched in golden letters in the history.” He said Sonepat takes pride in being the birthplace of a hero “immortalised in the soil of Haryana as a saga of courage, truth and self-respect.”
