Masterclass in liver critical care concludes with resounding success at Zydus Hospital
A recent ‘Masterclass in Liver Critical Care’, held at Zydus Hospital, garnered an overwhelming response from the medical community, with over 200 delegates in attendance, including intensivists, hepatologists, gastroenterologists, and transplant specialists. The event featured eminent national faculty members sharing their expertise on various aspects of liver critical care, highlighting the need for specialised infrastructure and multidisciplinary coordination.
The discussions emphasised the evolving landscape of acute liver failure, sepsis in chronic liver disease, and post-transplant critical care. The urgent need for dedicated Liver ICUs was underscored, with Zydus Hospital’s dedicated Liver Critical Care Unit serving as a pioneering example.
The event reinforced the importance of a structured approach to liver intensive care, integrating state-of-the-art interventions and specialised rehabilitation protocols to improve patient outcomes.
