The solid waste management plant at Patvi village is turning out to be a cause for concern for the Ambala Municipal Corporation due to various irregularities in the operations and violations of the Solid Waste Management Rules. Earlier, the Haryana State Pollution Control Board had imposed a fine on the municipal corporation for the violations at Patvi, now the Mayor has expressed disappointment with the functioning of the plant.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
