Una, June 20
A special Shramik Express train carrying 1,095 passengers, including 165 children, today left the Amb-Andaura railway station in Una district for various destinations in Uttar Pradesh.
The passengers included people working in different parts of the state, who decided to head back home due to the pandemic.
The train departed from the Amb-Andaura station at 6.15 pm. Passengers were asked to report at 4 pm for health screening and registration of names. They were also handed over food packets.
Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar said the train would stop at Bareli, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur, Burhwal, Gonda and Gorakhpur. The passengers could request for additional stoppages to the Railways staff on the train, said the DC.
