Tecch Village, ward no. 1, Dandru gram panchyat, again turned Covid hotspot as one person from the village tested positive yesterday. The village was declared a hotspot earlier, when a 52-year-old person tested positive on May 16.
The person was under institutional quarantine and sent under home quarantine after his two samples tested negative. He had returned from Mumbai and his third sample was taken when he turned symptomatic at his home. The village was de-notified as containment zone on May 30 after 14 days, but it again emerged as a hotspot after five days.
Archana Soni, Chief Medical Officer, said the infected person was shifted to a Dedicated Covid Care Centre at RCH, Bhota.
Harikesh Meena, District Magistrate, said ward no. 1 of Dandru gram panchyat was declared containment zone. He said all relaxations during curfew were prohibited in the village and supply of essential items would be ensured by the administration at the door step.
