Shimla, January 16
The 10th meeting of the State Single Window Clearance and Monitoring Authority was held here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
The authority approved 13 project proposals for setting up new industrial enterprises and expansion of existing units involving the proposed investment of Rs 440.34 crore and employment potential of about 1025 persons.
It showed that the state continued to attract investment despite overall slowdown in the economy, an official release claimed.
Besides, 11 proposals of investible projects in manufacturing sector with proposed investment of Rs 249.50 crore in Kangra, Sirmaur, Bilaspur, Solan, Una and Shimla had also been approved. Director Industries Hansraj Sharma conducted the proceedings.
Industries Minister Bikram Singh, Chief Secretary Anil Kumar Khachi, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries, Manoj Kumar, Principal Secretary, Revenue, Onkar Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sanjay Kundu, MD HPSEBL JP Kalta and other senior officers attended the meeting.
